		<description>It is an interesting topic of discussion. I would add Bermuda to known locations in which all or the majority of homes have white colored roofs. Now in Bermuda they are all covered with an interesting Lime Wash/Paint for consumption purposes, but never the less I&#039;m sure the cooling effects are noticed in the middle of the ocean!

This information was gathered when my family recently took a vacation to the island. We (being in the roofing business) were astonished that every single house as far as the eyes can see were white! After a little questioning of the locals we arrived at the above answer.</description>

		<description>I can attest to this. My light colored metal roof makes a huge difference in the amount of heat buildup in the house. I just wish they made these things so you could flip a switch and change the color. That way in the winter I switch it over to black so it would collect the heat. BTW nice, informative blog.</description>
